The Role: Quality Assurance Consultant (New Delhi, India)
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant based in New Delhi, with expertise in the manufacturing of door hinges and components. The role requires a deep understanding of product lines and manufacturing limitations, developing and maintaining quality objectives, and implementing quality standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality of products throughout the design, inspection, and integration process while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. The position involves proactive problem-solving, risk mitigation, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to drive continuous improvement.
Your Day-to-Day:
Main Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly understand product line and limitations in the manufacturing process for door hinges and door components
- Formulate and maintain quality related objectives and KPIs that complement corporate policies and goals for product lines
- Develop and initiate quality standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
- Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, design, test, and integration to assure the quality of assigned products
- Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
- Proactively anticipates and resolves potential issues to mitigate risks, and escalates to senior management as necessary
- Acts decisively to manage quality issues and implement corrective action
- Ensure production deadlines are met
- Implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of production
- Train, implement, and maintain lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and participates in all required meetings
- Report and communicate with North American Quality Team on identified quality issues, concerns and data analysis results, and implement solutions and decisions
- Complete quality reports, collect data, and share data analysis with vendors for continuous improvement
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline within the supply chain field
- Minimum 5 years of related quality assurance experience, including process control and related problem solving
- Fluency in English, with highly effective communication skills in general (oral and business writing)
- Experience in quality assurance, testing, and inspection methods
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their implementation
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Well-developed analytical skills with an ability to perform insightful analysis
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in an environment of shifting priorities
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the job, including late evening and/or early morning meetings due to the varying global time zones
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Highly effective leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, relevant stakeholders and vendors
- Strong mathematical and computation skills
- Adept at technology (CRMs, Office 365 programs and tools etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve quality issues
- Some travel within and/or out of the country may be required, so must be flexible for travel as needed

Nice-to-Have
- Relevant industry experience
- Certification in Six Sigma and/or Lean methodology
- Hands-on experience with Epicor BisTrack or a similar ERP system
